Beat IV Lodge

Finally we can offer our anglers a tucked away farm house right in the middle of the salmon fishing beat. The accommodation is very remote, and provides anglers with six twin beds and the option of a sleeping sofa if additional guests would like to join. The gin clear river is running at the anglers doorsteps. All necessary amenities are available, and despite the remote location, an internet connection is provided. There will be further renovations made in the spring time. All beds will be made and towels provided prior to the arrival of the fishing trip.

Blanda IV Details

Blanda IV is the uppermost beat on the Blanda, fished with 3 rods. Unlike the lower parts of the river, which is a glacial water with a milky blue tint, the Beat IV water is gin-clear until the Blanda-reservoir up in the highlands hits overflow, which always remains a risk factor as it varies across the years. Unlike the pools on the lower beats of the Blanda, Beat IV compares being quite delicate and can easily be fished with a single-hand rod. Access is good to parts of the beat but the terrain in the canyon can also be quite demanding. Blanda IV has for years been very popular with anglers, as a great number of salmon holds there most summers and the fishing can be excellent, with a high proportion of MWS salmon caught.
